BJP to Hold Tiranga Yatra in Raipur Today; Traffic Restrictions Expected Across the City

Raipur : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organize a Tiranga Yatra in Raipur and other districts of Chhattisgarh today. The march will begin at 10 a.m. from the Indoor Stadium at Budha Talab and proceed towards Subhash Stadium at Motibagh Chowk.

The Tiranga Yatra will be attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Guardian Minister Kedar Kashyap, MPs, MLAs, senior public representatives, party office-bearers and workers.

A large number of school and college students and members of the general public are also expected to participate. Due to the event, traffic movement on several major roads in Raipur will be affected, and the traffic police has announced diversion routes.

Tiranga Yatra to Begin at 10 a.m.

The route from the Indoor Stadium, Ganesh Mandir Tiraha, Budhapara Electricity Office, road in front of the Municipal Corporation building, Mahila Police Station Chowk and Fire Brigade Chowk to Subhash Stadium will remain affected for regular traffic during the march.

Alternative Routes for Commuters

Vehicles travelling from Budheshwar Chowk towards Budhapara Electricity Office will be able to use the Budheshwar Chowk Parikrama Path, Police Line Gate and Kalibadi Road.

Motorists travelling from Shastri Chowk towards Mahila Police Station can use Banjari Chowk, Raj Bhavan Chowk, Kalimai Tiraha, OCM Chowk, Mahila Police Station Chowk and Kalibadi Road.

Those travelling from Kalibadi towards Kotwali Chowk can use Kalibadi Chowk, Mahila Police Station Chowk, OCM Chowk, Kali Mata Mandir Tiraha, Raj Bhavan Chowk and Ghadi Chowk.

Traffic Restrictions on Several Routes

During the Tiranga Yatra, commuters travelling from Kotwali towards Kalibadi and from Sadar Bazar towards Budhapara can use the alternative route through Sadar Bazar, Kankalipara Chowk, Purani Basti, Budheshwar Chowk and Police Line Gate.

Parking Arrangements for Participants

People participating in the Tiranga Yatra have been advised to park their vehicles at the designated parking areas and walk to the Indoor Stadium.

Designated parking facilities will be available at:

  • Budha Talab Garden
  • Ground behind the Indoor Stadium
  • Parikrama Path, Budha Talab
  • Area towards Maharajbandh Talab

Traffic Police Issues Advisory

The Raipur Traffic Police has appealed to commuters to avoid travelling along the Tiranga Yatra route between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and use the designated diversion routes to reach their destinations.

Considering the expected participation of a large number of students and citizens, motorists have been advised to drive carefully, remain patient and follow instructions issued by the traffic police.

The BJP’s Tiranga Yatra is expected to create significant movement across central Raipur during the morning hours, and commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance.
