In a significant step toward strengthening employee healthcare services, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) inaugurated a modern dental care department at its Indira Vihar Health Center. The facility was formally opened by the company’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Harish Duhan, marking a key milestone in SECL’s ongoing commitment to enhancing medical infrastructure for its workforce and their families.
Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, Mr. Duhan emphasized that SECL remains dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, and advanced healthcare services to its employees and dependents. He noted that expanding modern medical facilities and strengthening healthcare systems will continue to be a top priority for the organization, ensuring timely and effective treatment for all beneficiaries.
The newly established dental unit is equipped with advanced technology and is designed to offer comprehensive oral healthcare services under one roof. Employees, retired personnel, and their dependents will now have access to a wide range of dental treatments, including tooth extraction, restorative procedures, oral prophylaxis (cleaning), root canal treatment (RCT), flap surgeries, and other complex dental procedures. This development is expected to significantly improve the quality and accessibility of dental care for SECL beneficiaries.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key medical professionals, including Chief of Medical Services Dr. Shrutidev Mishra, Chief Medical Officer (In-charge) of Indira Vihar Health Center Dr. Arihant Jain, and Dental Officer Dr. K. Sharad, along with other healthcare staff and officials.
This initiative reflects SECL’s strong commitment to the health, well-being, and overall welfare of its employees and stakeholders. By introducing modern dental care services, the company continues to set a benchmark in corporate healthcare support within India’s public sector enterprises.
