GAIL Executive A. K. Tripathi Honored with CIDC Vishwakarma Achievement Award 2026


New Delhi, India — GAIL (India) Limited announced that its Executive Director (Projects), A. K. Tripathi, has been awarded the prestigious CIDC Vishwakarma Achievement Award (Public Officer) at the 17th edition of the CIDC Vishwakarma Awards & Exhibition held in New Delhi.

The award recognizes Tripathi’s exceptional leadership and significant contributions to infrastructure development and nation-building within India’s energy sector. The honor was presented by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during the ceremony, which was organized under the theme “Viksit Bharat 2047.” The event took place at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre.


Recognition for Infrastructure Leadership

Tripathi has played a pivotal role in driving large-scale infrastructure projects at GAIL. Under his leadership:

  • Over 3,300 kilometers of pipeline projects have been executed since October 2023
  • A record 1,612 kilometers of pipelines were commissioned in FY 2025–26
  • Several complex pipeline and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crossing projects were successfully completed
  • Key infrastructure such as the Dabhol–Breakwater project was commissioned
  • Clean energy initiatives were advanced, including a 10 MW green hydrogen electrolyzer project

Driving Strategic Infrastructure Expansion

GAIL continues to strengthen India’s energy infrastructure with a strong pipeline of projects and investments. Key highlights include:

  • Projects worth approximately ₹18,900 crore currently under execution
  • Expansion of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks across multiple regions
  • Improved last-mile connectivity infrastructure
  • A sustained push toward cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions
