Mungeli : A seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Higher Secondary School, Fasterpur (Mungeli) was formally inaugurated today under the leadership of Programme Officer Dr. Rambabu Mishra. The camp will be organized from December 21 to December 27, 2025, at the Government Middle School परिसर of nearby Gram Panchayat Vicharpur (Shuklabhatha).
The inaugural ceremony was held in the august presence of Chief Guest Shri Chandrabhan Barmate (Former MLA). Special guests included Shri Vishnu Jaiswal, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Vicharpur Shri Umesh Gavel, Deputy Sarpanch Shri Khomprasad Gavel, and Panch Shri Dataram Gavel. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of Mrs. Manju Patre, Mrs. Bharti Anant, Komal Ghritlahare, Shri Ramprasad Yadav, Shri Saranand Sahu, Shri Bhagirath Sahu, Shri Santosh Gavel, and Shri Yadav, along with villagers and NSS volunteers.
On this occasion, the message of Chief Guest Shri Chandrabhan Barmate was read out to all villagers and volunteers, in which he extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the camp. He emphasized that discipline, peace, and orderly conduct are the foundation of success for such social initiatives.
The main theme of this year’s NSS special camp is “Youth for a Drug-Free India.” During the camp, various activities such as intellectual discussions, drug de-addiction awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, social awareness programs, and creative activities will be organized.
Addressing the gathering, Programme Officer Dr. Rambabu Mishra highlighted the objectives of the camp and urged the youth to play an active role in building a drug-free and healthy society. He expressed confidence that the NSS volunteers would contribute meaningfully to social transformation through their dedicated service during the camp.
