New Delhi : Coal India Limited (CIL) has added another major achievement to its record by securing the prestigious 5-Star Rating for 27 mines across its subsidiaries for FY 2024–25. The recognition highlights the company’s strong commitment to safe mining, environmental stewardship, scientific mining practices, and sustainable resource management while continuing to meet India’s growing energy demands.

The 5-Star Rating is among the highest honors awarded to mines in India. It recognizes mining operations that demonstrate excellence in worker safety, environmental protection, land reclamation, afforestation, water conservation, community development, and the efficient utilization of natural resources.
