New Delhi : State-owned mining company Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has announced the appointment of Kulveer Singh Yadav as a Part-time Official (Government Nominee) Director on its Board, effective immediately.
The appointment was communicated by the Ministry of Mines through an official order dated May 4, 2026, in line with the disclosure requirements under the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations 2015.
Board-Level Change
Kulveer Singh Yadav, who currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, takes over from Shakil Alam, the outgoing Government Nominee Director on the company’s board.
The company confirmed that all necessary statutory and regulatory formalities related to the appointment are currently underway. Additional disclosures, if required, will be made in due course.
Governance and Oversight Strengthened
The appointment reflects the Government of India’s continued focus on strengthening governance and oversight in public sector enterprises. As a Government Nominee Director, Yadav will play a key role in ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and national policy objectives in the mining sector.
The order for his appointment was issued under Article 70 of the Articles of Association of Hindustan Copper Limited, and will remain in effect until further instructions from the government.
