New Delhi, September 2, 2026: Several stocks are likely to remain in focus in the Indian stock market today following a series of important corporate developments and operational updates.
August sales figures from automobile companies, production and supply data from state-owned mining companies, new project wins, regulatory developments and business announcements are expected to influence investor sentiment.
Among the key stocks to watch are Hero MotoCorp, NMDC, Coal India, Adani Green Energy, Gland Pharma, Reliance Industries, Wipro, EMS Limited, Centum Electronics, L&T Finance and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank.
Hero MotoCorp
Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp reported a 4.5% year-on-year increase in domestic sales in August, with sales reaching around 5.42 lakh units.
Including exports, the company’s total sales stood at approximately 5.68 lakh units, up 2.6% from the corresponding month last year.
Growth in scooter sales helped offset some of the weakness in motorcycle sales. The August sales performance could keep Hero MotoCorp shares in focus during Wednesday’s trading session.
NMDC
State-owned mining company NMDC reported strong iron ore production numbers for August.
The company’s iron ore production increased 20.8% year-on-year to 4.07 million tonnes (MT), compared with 3.37 MT in August 2025.
Iron ore sales also increased 5.6% to 3.58 MT, from 3.39 MT a year earlier.
During the April-August period, NMDC’s cumulative iron ore production reached 23.23 MT. The strong production growth is likely to remain a key focus for investors.

The company’s coal supplies increased 5.5% year-on-year to 60.6 million tonnes in August 2026.
Coal supplies to the power sector rose 4.5% to 48.5 million tonnes during the month.
Between April and August, Coal India’s total coal supplies increased 6.7% to 322.9 million tonnes, reflecting continued growth in supply to consumers, particularly the power sector.

The company has commissioned a 139-MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat. Following the commissioning, its total operational renewable energy capacity has increased to 20,280.8 MW.

Gland Pharma
Pharmaceutical company Gland Pharma received a positive regulatory update from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
The USFDA inspected the company’s pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam between August 24 and September 1, 2026.
According to the company, the inspection was completed with no observations reported by the regulator.
The outcome could be viewed positively by investors given the importance of US regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical companies operating in the global market.
Reliance Industries
Reliance Industries is expanding its presence in the consumer products segment.
Reliance Consumer Products has entered the ice cream market with a new brand called ‘Bombay Creamery’. The product has been launched with an introductory price starting at ₹10.

Wipro
IT services company Wipro has expanded its engagement with ABB in the area of global digital workplace services.
Under the arrangement, Wipro will support ABB in enhancing digital workplace services for its employees.
The development is expected to keep Wipro shares in focus as investors track the company’s global technology services business and large enterprise engagements.
EMS Limited
EMS Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a sewage-related project in Rajasthan worth approximately ₹219 crore.
The company is expected to complete the project within around 18 months.
The order win strengthens the company’s project pipeline and could attract investor attention during the trading session.
Centum Electronics
Centum Electronics has secured an export order worth approximately ₹30.5 crore from a global customer.
The order involves the design, development and supply of an electronic system and is scheduled to be executed over the next seven months.
The new export order could remain a key trigger for the stock as investors assess the company’s order book and business prospects.
L&T Finance
L&T Finance has received permanent registration from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to operate as a corporate agent.
The registration became effective on August 31, 2026.
The approval is expected to enable L&T Finance to expand its insurance distribution business and offer insurance products through its customer ecosystem.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank

The RBI has approved the appointment of Carol Furtado as Interim Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank.
Her appointment is effective from September 1, 2026, for a period of three months or until the appointment of a regular Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, whichever is earlier.
The leadership transition is likely to remain an important factor for investors tracking the bank’s next phase of growth and management strategy.
