Actress Opens Up About Pregnancy, Says She and Raj Nidimoru Had Made Peace With the Possibility of Not Having Kids
Hyderabad: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru are set to welcome their first child. The couple had shared the pregnancy news in June, and Samantha has now opened up about the unexpected turn her life has taken.
In a recent media interview, Samantha revealed that she had reached a point where she had accepted the possibility that she might never have children. She said both she and Raj were comfortable with either outcome before she became pregnant.
‘It Was a Surprise’
Talking about her mindset before the pregnancy, Samantha said she and Raj were both at peace with the possibility of not having children.
“I was at a stage where I was okay. Raj and I were both okay with maybe not having children or maybe having them. I was fine with either situation, and he was too. So, it’s a surprise,” she said.
Her comments suggest that the pregnancy was not something she had been actively expecting at that stage of her life.
She Found Out While Shooting for a Song
Samantha also recalled the moment she discovered she was pregnant. According to the actress, she found out on the same day she was shooting for the song ‘Thasadia’.
She said she had only just learned about the pregnancy and still had to perform dance steps for the shoot. She was also feeling slightly unwell at the time.
Looking back, Samantha said she feels everything happened at the right time. She added that she is now genuinely excited about the new chapter ahead.
The actress also acknowledged that people around her have told her that having a baby completely changes one’s life. Samantha said she feels ready to embrace that change.
Pregnancy News Came After ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ Release
Samantha’s film ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ was released in theatres in June. The actress shared the pregnancy news with fans the following day.
The announcement received a warm response from members of the film industry as well as her fans, who flooded social media with congratulatory messages and good wishes.
Dating Rumours Began During ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’
Rumours about Samantha and Raj Nidimoru dating began during the making of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’. Their frequent appearances together and Samantha’s social media posts featuring Raj further fuelled speculation about their relationship.
The two eventually made their relationship official after getting married in December 2025 at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. They also shared pictures from their wedding on social media.
