Railway Board Invites Applications for Director (Works) at NHSRCL; Deadline May 20, 2026


New Delhi  — The ministry of railway , through the , has issued a vacancy notice inviting applications for the position of Director (Works) at the (NHSRCL). The role will be based in and will be filled on a deputation or absorption basis.

Compensation and Pay Scale

The selected candidate will receive compensation equivalent to a Director-level Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE).

  • Pay Range (Absorption): ₹1,80,000 – ₹3,40,000 (IDA scale)
  • Deputation: Parent pay plus applicable allowances

Eligibility Criteria

The opportunity is open to a wide pool of experienced professionals, including:

  • Executives from government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), metro rail corporations, and special purpose vehicles (SPVs)
  • Officers currently working at Level 14 under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) or equivalent
  • Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech)

Experience Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate substantial expertise in infrastructure development:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning, execution, and monitoring of railway or metro projects
  • At least 5 years of service in Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) or an equivalent senior position

Age and Service Conditions

  • Internal candidates: Must have at least 3 years of residual service before retirement
  • Other applicants: Must have at least 5 years of residual service
  • Relaxation may be considered for candidates with prior experience in high-speed rail projects

  • Provide vigilance clearance and other mandatory certifications
