Minister Laxmi Rajwade Conducts Extensive Inspection of Child Care Institutions in Korba :


Raipur।  To further strengthen child safety, care and protection of rights in Chhattisgarh, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade conducted an extensive inspection of the Bal Sampration Grih (Boys), Bal Grih (Girls) and Bal Grih (Boys) in Korba district today. Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Varnika Sharma, accompanied her during the inspection.

The Minister and the Commission Chairperson interacted with the children to understand their needs and evaluate the available facilities and care arrangements. They reviewed provisions related to cleanliness, nutrition, health, education and day-to-day care, and instructed officials to further strengthen these systems.

Minister Rajwade directed authorities to ensure strict compliance with all provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. She emphasized the need for maintaining accurate and updated records, registers and government directives, so that all child-related procedures are conducted as per the prescribed norms.

Giving top priority to child safety, the Minister and the Commission Chairperson instructed for proper installation and regular monitoring of CCTV cameras, along with deployment of trained and adequate security personnel. They also stressed on strengthening surveillance at entry points and sensitive areas within the institutions.

Speaking during the visit, Minister Rajwade said:

“Providing children with a safe, sensitive and supportive environment is the government’s highest responsibility, and we are committed to ensuring this.”

She directed officials to complete all tasks related to child protection, rehabilitation and care in a time-bound and standard-compliant manner.

Collector Ajit Vasant and District Programme Officer Basant Minj were also present during the inspection.
