New Delhi, India — The Government of India has appointed Hansraj Yadav as the Common Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) for four public sector undertakings (PSUs) headquartered in Jaipur, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions.
Yadav, a 2000-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), has been appointed for an initial tenure of three years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Assignment Across Four PSUs
In his new role, Yadav will serve as the Common CVO for the following organizations operating under the Ministry of Heavy Industries:
- Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL)
- Instrumentation Limited (IL)
- Hindustan Salts Limited (HSL)
- Sambhar Salts Limited (SSL)
These organizations are key players in sectors ranging from electronics and instrumentation to salt production and industrial manufacturing.
Pay and Service Conditions
The position of Common CVO carries Pay Level 13 under the government pay matrix, with a salary range of ₹1,23,100 to ₹2,15,900.
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has been requested to relieve Yadav from his current assignment to enable him to assume charge of his new responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities
As Common Chief Vigilance Officer, Yadav will oversee vigilance administration across all four PSUs. His responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring transparency and accountability in operations
- Strengthening preventive vigilance systems
- Monitoring adherence to compliance and governance standards
- Promoting ethical practices and institutional integrity
The role is critical in maintaining uniform vigilance oversight across multiple organizations.
Administrative Approval
The appointment has been finalized in consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission, which had recommended Yadav’s name earlier through its communication dated March 10, 2026.
The official order was issued from New Delhi and circulated to all concerned ministries and departments for necessary action and compliance.
