New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has approved the appointment of Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, an officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), as Group General Manager (Commercial & Operations) at Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The appointment has been made on an immediate absorption basis, according to an official order issued on Tuesday.
Shri Singh is currently serving as Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) in Northern Railway. His appointment to the senior position at CONCOR follows a proposal forwarded by Northern Railway and has been cleared by the competent authority. The order directs that he be relieved immediately to enable him to take charge of his new assignment.

Technical Resignation Accepted

Joining Timeline
As per the Railway Boardโs directive, Shri Singh is required to join CONCOR within 15 days from the date of issuance of the order, in line with the guidelines of the Department of Pension and Pensionersโ Welfare. In the event he is unable to join within the stipulated period, he has been instructed to report back to the Railway Board within the same timeframe.

The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Shri Bashekhar, Joint Secretary, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways. Copies of the order have been circulated to CONCOR, senior Railway Board officials, zonal railways, and the officer concerned for necessary action.
