Durg District Administration Externs Nandini Nagar Goonda for One Year


Durg । In a major action to maintain law and order, the Durg District Administration has ordered the one-year externment of notorious goonda Dushyant Khosla, a resident of Nandini Nagar, following repeated involvement in violent and anti-social activities.

The externment order was issued by the District Magistrate, Durg, on January 8, 2026, based on a detailed report submitted by Durg Police, citing the accused’s continued criminal behavior and lack of reform.

Multiple Criminal Cases Registered

According to police records, Dushyant Khosla has several cases registered against him at Nandini Nagar Police Station, including incidents of assault, intimidation, and criminal threats. A total of five criminal cases were registered against him based on complaints filed by local residents.

Despite being placed under surveillance and included in the list of goonda offenders, Khosla failed to show any improvement in his conduct.

Misuse of Clinic to Spread Fear

Police stated that the accused had opened a clinic in the Nandini Nagar–Ahiwara area and was allegedly using it as a front to carry out illegal activities. Under the guise of running a business, he reportedly threatened, intimidated, and assaulted local residents, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.

Local residents had repeatedly complained about his actions, stating that his presence posed a serious threat to public peace and safety.

Externment Under State Security Act

Taking note of the continued anti-social activities, Durg Police submitted a proposal to the District Magistrate seeking strict preventive action. Acting under the provisions of Section 5(b) of the Chhattisgarh State Security Act, 1990, the District Magistrate passed an order externing Dushyant Khosla for one year.

Under the order, Khosla has been expelled from the boundaries of Durg district and its adjoining districts, including Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Dhamtari, Balod, and Kabirdham.

Police Warn of Strict Action on Violation

Police officials have warned that strict legal action will be taken if the externed individual is found violating the order during the externment period. The Durg Police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of citizens by taking firm action against habitual offenders.
