Raipur । Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday reiterated the Chhattisgarh government’s strong commitment to ensuring the holistic development of the Bastar region. He stated that inclusive growth of Bastar remains the state government’s top priority.
The Chief Minister was interacting with elected representatives from remote gram panchayats of Sukma district, who had arrived in Raipur under the “Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman Yojana”. The delegation met the Chief Minister at Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, where he held a cordial and interactive discussion with the visiting representatives.
During the interaction, Shri Sai enquired about their well-being and discussed grassroots issues. He emphasized that the state government is continuously working to ensure the availability of basic facilities such as education, healthcare, roads, electricity, and drinking water in every village of the Bastar region.
The Chief Minister said that development projects are being implemented at a rapid pace even in the interior and remote areas of Bastar. He highlighted that the establishment of security force camps in far-flung regions has strengthened security and simultaneously accelerated development activities.
Shri Sai noted that government fair price shops have now been set up in most villages and that the benefits of various public welfare schemes are reaching common citizens effectively. Expressing confidence, he said that Bastar will become completely Naxal-free in the near future.
The Chief Minister further stated that the government is consistently working towards the goal of “Atmanirbhar Bastar” (Self-Reliant Bastar). As part of this vision, public representatives from the region are being given opportunities to visit the state capital so they can observe development initiatives firsthand and draw inspiration to promote all-round development in their respective areas.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Notably, under the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman Yojana, around 100 panchayat representatives from remote gram panchayats of Sukma district are on a two-day visit to Raipur. During the tour, they are being taken to important locations such as the Mantralaya, Jungle Safari, Tribal Museum, Railway Station, Airport, and shopping malls, providing them exposure to the state’s development and infrastructure.
