Mungeli, Chhattisgarh: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Bilaspur MP Tokhan Sahu, along with his wife Smt. Leelawati Sahu, attended the District Mahila Morcha Introduction Meeting and Sawan Milan Ceremony organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha, Mungeli district.
Addressing the women office-bearers and workers of the Mahila Morcha during the ceremony, Shri Tokhan Sahu said that Sawan is not merely a month, but a sacred period deeply connected with faith, culture and Sanatan traditions. He said such events play an important role in preserving the country’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening mutual love, harmony and a sense of togetherness in society.
Shri Sahu said that the BJP Mahila Morcha is an important pillar of the organization. He praised the contribution of women in strengthening the party from the booth level to the state and national levels. According to him, the active participation of women provides new energy to the organization and gives a fresh direction to various social service initiatives.
On the occasion of Sawan Milan, Shri Sahu extended his best wishes to all the women and members of the Mahila Morcha. He prayed for the blessings of Lord Shiva and wished for peace, prosperity, happiness and well-being across Chhattisgarh and the country.
The programme was attended by Mungeli MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle, Smt. Meena Sao, wife of Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, BJP District President Shri Dinanath Kesariwani, District Mahila Morcha President Smt. Anjana Das, District Panchayat President Shri Shrikant Pandey, Mahila Morcha State Minister Smt. Sheelu Sahu, and District Mahila Morcha In-charge Smt. Kalyani Sahu, along with several BJP office-bearers and workers.
The Sawan Milan ceremony was filled with devotion, enthusiasm and warmth. Women workers celebrated the festival with traditional fervour, while the event also highlighted the spirit of unity and solidarity within the BJP Mahila Morcha.
