SECL–SECR Joint Review Meeting Held to Assess CERL, CEWRL and Rail Dispatch Performance


A high-level joint review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Mr. Harish Duhan, CMD SECL, and Mr. Tarun Prakash, GM SECR, to comprehensively assess the progress of CERL, CEWRL and SECL’s overall operational performance.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Hari Mohan Gupta, CMD IRCON, Mr. Rahul Mithal, CMD RITES, senior leadership of SECL and SECR, along with representatives from IPRCL.

During the review, detailed discussions were held on SECL’s current performance, roadmap for enhancing rail-dispatch capacity, and the status of major rail-link infrastructure projects. Focus was laid on identifying challenges faced in timely completion of CERL and CEWRL projects, and on ensuring closer coordination between IRCON, RITES and IPRCL to accelerate progress.

Both SECL and SECR reaffirmed their commitment to giving top priority to mutual cooperation and coordination to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely coal logistics.

Concluding the meeting, it was highlighted that SECL achieved its best-ever monthly rail dispatch performance in November 2025, loading 1,767 rakes, a milestone that was appreciated by GM SECR.
