New Delhi : In a significant administrative development, the Ministry of Railways has approved the permanent absorption of Shri Swayambhu Arya, a senior officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), into Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). The decision comes after the President of India accepted his technical resignation from the Indian Railways, effective July 28, 2026.
According to the official order issued by the Railway Board on July 28, 2026, Shri Arya will be deemed retired from Railway service from the same date, enabling him to continue his professional career with CONCOR on a permanent basis.
The approval follows a formal request submitted by CONCOR, one of India’s leading multimodal logistics and container transportation companies. As part of the transition process, the concerned authorities have been directed to furnish the officer’s service particulars in the prescribed format and certify that all applicable FSC/LSC charges have been paid to the Railways before completing the absorption formalities.
Shri Swayambhu Arya, born on October 8, 1975, has served in the IRSME cadre, contributing to the Indian Railways’ mechanical engineering operations. His permanent induction into CONCOR is expected to strengthen the organization’s technical and operational leadership as it continues expanding its logistics and freight infrastructure across India.
