Canara Bank Advances Bond Interest Payment to September 27

Interest on Bond ISIN INE476A08191 to be paid on revised working day

Mumbai : Canara Bank has revised the interest payment date for one of its bond series following the Ministry of Finance’s decision to keep Public Sector Banks and Regional Rural Banks operational on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The bank has informed the stock exchanges that the annual interest on bonds bearing ISIN INE476A08191 will now be paid on September 27, 2026, instead of September 28, 2026.

Payment Date Changed Following Banking Holiday Revision

The annual interest payment was originally scheduled for September 27. However, since the date fell on a Sunday, Canara Bank had earlier planned to make the payment on the following working day, September 28.

The Ministry of Finance subsequently directed all Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) to function normally on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

As a result, Canara Bank branches and offices will remain operational on that day, and September 27 will be treated as a working day for the purpose of the interest payment.

Interest to Be Paid on Original Coupon Date

With the revised banking calendar, Canara Bank will make the annual interest payment on September 27, 2026, in accordance with the original coupon payment date specified in the Placement Memorandum.

The bank has formally communicated the change to both the BSE and NSE through its regulatory disclosure.
