Directs officials to ensure 100% accurate and error-free e-Girdawari records
Mungeli : Mungeli Collector Amrit Vikas Topno inspected the ongoing Digital Crop Survey in Dharampura village of Mungeli development block, visiting the fields to review the ground-level verification process.
The inspection was carried out as part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to ensure the accuracy of crop and acreage details being recorded through Digital Crop Survey and e-Girdawari.
During the field visit, the Collector observed the survey process being carried out by surveyors and reviewed how crop details and the corresponding cultivated area were being entered into the digital system.
Topno directed officials to ensure that every entry made during the digital survey accurately reflects the actual field situation. He stressed that crop and agricultural land records must be complete, accurate and free from errors so that a reliable digital record can be prepared for each farm.
He also instructed the concerned officials to maintain quality, transparency and adherence to the prescribed procedure throughout the survey. Wherever necessary, field-level re-verification should be undertaken and discrepancies corrected in the records.
Crop Records Being Digitally Captured Directly From Fields
Under the Digital Crop Survey, surveyors are visiting individual fields and recording crop-related information digitally through a mobile application.
The field-based approach is intended to improve the accuracy of farm-wise crop and acreage records. The information entered by surveyors is also being checked through field verification and random verification to assess its accuracy and quality.
The digital survey is expected to help in more precise assessment of cropped area and agricultural production. Accurate crop-related data can also support better implementation of agriculture-related schemes, improve the availability of crop statistics and help government agencies deliver schemes and services more effectively to farmers.
The administration is focusing on ensuring that the digital records correspond with the actual situation on the ground, particularly through continuous verification and correction wherever required.
Officials Present During Inspection
During the inspection, Additional Collector Nishtha Pandey Tiwari, Mungeli SDM Ajay Kumar Shatranj and other concerned officials and personnel associated with the Digital Crop Survey were present.
The Mungeli district administration has identified accurate digital records as an important component of strengthening field-level agricultural data and improving the reliability of e-Girdawari. The district administration’s official website lists Amrit Vikas Topno as the current Collector and District Magistrate, while Ajay Kumar Shatranj is listed as SDM (Revenue), Mungeli.
