Jharia, Jharkhand | In a major initiative aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods, skill development, and economic rehabilitation, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), the Jharia Rehabilitation and Development Authority (JRDA), Hindalco Industries Limited (an Aditya Birla Group company), and Rajdhani Universal Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. have signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Vocational Training Centre and a Plug-and-Play Textile Manufacturing Facility in the Jharia Rehabilitation Township.
The initiative has been designed to generate long-term employment opportunities for families rehabilitated under the Revised Jharia Master Plan, with a special emphasis on women, youth, and economically displaced households.
A Comprehensive Rehabilitation Initiative
The newly signed Tripartite MoU represents a significant step toward transforming rehabilitation from merely providing housing into creating self-sustaining communities through employment and skill enhancement.
Under the agreement, the partners will jointly establish:
- A Vocational Training Centre to provide industry-oriented skill development programs.
- A modern Plug-and-Play Textile Manufacturing Facility equipped with contemporary production infrastructure.
