Raipur, India: Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, met with Noriaki Abe, Minister for Political Affairs at the Embassy of Japan in India, on Monday to discuss potential industrial investment and economic cooperation.
The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s office in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly complex in Raipur. During the discussion, both leaders explored opportunities to strengthen industrial partnerships and expand economic collaboration between Japan and the state.
Chief Minister Sai welcomed Abe with a traditional gesture by presenting him with a shawl and a statue of Lord Rama. He also recalled his recent visit to Japan and briefed the Japanese diplomat on the state government’s new industrial policy and investor-friendly initiatives.
Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh offers strong infrastructure, abundant natural resources, and a favorable investment environment, which create attractive opportunities for international investors, including Japanese companies. He also explained various sectors in the state where foreign investment could play a significant role.
The meeting was attended by Kiran Singh Deo, state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh, and state legislator Sushant Shukla.
Officials described the discussion as productive, emphasizing that stronger engagement with Japanese stakeholders could help boost industrial growth and economic development in the state.
