Durg Police Use Puppet Shows to Promote Road Safety During National Road Safety Month 2026

Durg, January 25, 2026:
As part of National Road Safety Month 2026, the Durg Police continued their efforts to spread awareness about traffic rules and road safety among the general public. For the second consecutive day, the police adopted an innovative approach by using puppet shows to effectively communicate traffic safety messages in an engaging manner.

The awareness programs were organized at prominent public locations including Maitri Garden, Surya Mall, Akash Ganga in Bhilai, and Bade Tiriya in Kumhari. Through creative puppet performances, citizens—especially children and families—were educated on the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets and seat belts, and maintaining discipline on the roads.

In addition to the awareness activities, the Durg Police also honored responsible citizens who were found following traffic rules by presenting them with roses as a mark of appreciation. This gesture was well received and encouraged others to adopt safe driving practices.

The initiative is part of Durg Police’s ongoing commitment to reduce road accidents and promote a culture of safety and responsibility among road users. Officials stated that such interactive and community-oriented programs will continue throughout National Road Safety Month to ensure wider public participation and impact.
