Mungeli, Chhattisgarh:
Proving that determination, discipline, and the right guidance can turn dreams into reality, two brothers from a small village in Mungeli district have achieved remarkable success in the recently concluded Chhattisgarh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. Their outstanding performance has not only brought pride to their family but has also elevated the name of Mungeli district across the entire state.

After years of relentless effort and unwavering commitment, Mayank Singh Thakur, the elder brother, secured Rank 1 in Mungeli district, emerging as the district topper. His younger brother, Manish Singh Thakur, also delivered an exceptional performance by successfully clearing the recruitment process from Sarangarh–Bilaigarh district, marking a historic achievement for the family.

Humble Beginnings, High Aspirations

Mayank and Manish hail from Bhattali Khurd village, a small rural settlement in Mungeli district. Their father, Shri Raghunath Singh Thakur, is a dedicated school teacher who instilled in his sons the values of honesty, discipline, and perseverance from an early age. Despite limited resources and rural challenges, the family always believed that education and hard work were the keys to a better future.

Life in the village offered few facilities for competitive exam preparation, yet the brothers transformed every challenge into motivation. Early morning physical training, long study hours, and strict self-discipline became part of their daily routine.

Years of Struggle, One Defining Success

The journey to success was not easy. Both brothers prepared for the police recruitment examination for over three to four consecutive years. They faced setbacks and failures, but instead of giving up, they used each experience as a lesson to improve.

Speaking after his selection, Mayank Singh Thakur said,

“Failure taught us patience and strength. We decided not to stop until we achieved our goal.”

Coaching That Shaped Their Future

The brothers credited their success to their parents along with Bilaspur PCS Coaching Centre, Mungeli. They highlighted the vital role played by Amit Sir and his entire coaching team, who provided structured academic preparation, rigorous physical training, and constant motivation.

According to the selected candidates, the coaching centre focused on:

  • Scientific physical fitness training
  • Syllabus-oriented written exam preparation
  • Mental strength and confidence-building sessions

Manish Singh Thakur shared,

“Amit Sir didn’t just train us; he made us believe in ourselves.”

Parents’ Sacrifice, Sons’ Success

The unwavering support of their parents proved to be the strongest pillar behind their achievement. Their father’s guidance as an educator and their mother’s emotional strength helped them remain focused even during the toughest phases of preparation.

An Inspiration for Rural Youth

The success of the Thakur brothers has sparked celebration not only in their village but across Mungeli district. Locals welcomed them with pride, distributed sweets, and hailed them as role models for aspiring youth.

Their story sends a powerful message to young aspirants across rural Chhattisgarh:
“With dedication, proper guidance, and perseverance, no dream is too big.”

Conclusion

From the narrow lanes of Bhattali Khurd village to the merit list of the state police recruitment, the journey of Mayank and Manish Singh Thakur stands as a shining example of rural talent, hard work, and unwavering determination.
