Life-Saving Support Reaches a Helpless Family Under ‘Annapurna Mission’

Mungeli: A needy family in village Ilachpur (Block Lormi) received essential relief support under the ongoing Annapurna Mission, inspired by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. The humanitarian effort brought a ray of hope to a family struggling for years under extreme social and economic distress.

A Life-Changing Accident Pushed the Family Into Crisis

The head of the family, Prakash alias Premdas Manikpuri (40), suffered a life-threatening injury several years ago when a portion of a house wall collapsed on him. The severe spinal injury left him bed-ridden permanently, even after surgery failed to restore mobility. His inability to work pushed the family deep into poverty.

Surviving in an Abandoned School Building for Four Years

With no house, land or property, the family has been living in a shut-down government school building for the past four years.
The government support of only 35 kg rice per month falls short of meeting the family’s basic needs.

The family has five members:

1. Prakash alias Premdas Manikpuri (40)

2. Preeti Bai (35)

3. Anjita (8)

4. Varsha (6)

5. Devendra (3)

Both elder daughters walk 3 kilometers daily to Baijalpur for schooling. Despite their condition, the family does not receive benefits from any government welfare schemes, including the Mahatari Vandana Yojana.
The only earning member, Preeti Bai, works as a laborer whenever she gets work, but most of her limited income is spent on medical treatment.

Relief Provided Under Annapurna Mission

Considering the family’s daily needs, a substantial set of food supplies, clothing and essential household items was delivered.
The distribution included:

25 kg rice, 5 kg flour, 4 kinds of pulses

2 liters oil, 4 kg sugar, tea, milk powder, spices, salt

5–5 kg potatoes & onions, gram flour, porridge, pickles

Bathing and washing soaps, washing powder

2 sarees, 2 petticoats, 2 pairs of children’s clothes

2 blankets, 4 winter garments

4 notebooks, 2 pens

Plastic bucket, utensil set (banga, lid, frying pan), steel tumbler and 2 glasses

2 cots and 2 bed-sheets

Other daily necessity items

Relief distribution date: 23 November 2025

Beneficiary Expresses Deep Gratitude

Visibly emotional, the bedridden Prakash Manikpuri shared:

> “Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is helping our family like God. After God, we believe Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is the one who stands for us.”

Villagers Appreciate the Service Efforts

Local resident Teklal Tandon said:

> “Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is truly serving helpless families like a divine savior. Many saints have come and gone, but none ever helped like this. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has arranged everything for the destitute.”
