Sacred Threads of Love and Patriotism Strengthen Bond Between Citizens and Border Security Force Personnel
Bhilai, Chhattisgarh: On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special programme celebrating affection, respect and patriotism was organised at the BSF Frontier Headquarters (Special Operations), Risali, Chhattisgarh.
Sisters representing various social and women’s organisations gathered at the headquarters to tie the sacred Rakhi on the wrists of BSF officers and jawans. Through the traditional festival, they expressed their deep respect and gratitude for the courage, dedication and selfless service of the personnel committed to protecting the nation.
Traditional Rituals and Prayers for the Jawans
Smt. Rajni Baghel, spouse of the Member of Parliament from Durg Lok Sabha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the ceremony, the participating sisters performed traditional Raksha Bandhan rituals. They applied tilak to the BSF personnel and tied Rakhis on their wrists while offering prayers for their safety, long life and continued success in the line of duty.
