Chennai, India: A remarkable story of dedication, admiration, and determination has captured attention after a young man from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, walked more than 2,700 kilometers over 47 days to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The devoted supporter, Aman, says he will not leave Chennai until he gets an opportunity to meet the Chief Minister in person.
According to Aman, he has been a long-time admirer of Vijay and has never missed watching the actor-turned-politician’s films on their first day, first show whenever they were released in Uttar Pradesh. Inspired by Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics and his eventual rise to become Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Aman decided to undertake the extraordinary journey on foot.
Beginning his journey from Aligarh, Aman traveled through six Indian states—Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh—before finally reaching Chennai. Covering more than 2,700 kilometers, he described the journey as physically demanding but emotionally rewarding.
Speaking to reporters after arriving in Chennai, Aman said he had only one mission: to meet Chief Minister Vijay. He also expressed his hope that Vijay would one day become the Prime Minister of India.
Aman claimed that during his journey he met numerous people who also admired Vijay. According to him, supporters from different regions appreciated the Chief Minister for treating people equally, regardless of caste, religion, or economic background. Aman further praised Vijay’s focus on education, children’s welfare, and India’s future, saying these qualities make him a strong leader. He even asserted that 90 percent of Vijay’s supporters in North India share similar aspirations for his political future, although this claim could not be independently verified.
The devoted fan revealed that he had already sent an email requesting a meeting with the Chief Minister. He also visited Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai and his party office in Panaiyur, hoping to secure an appointment. However, he has not yet received permission to meet the Chief Minister.
Despite the uncertainty, Aman remains optimistic.
“I came all the way from Uttar Pradesh to Chennai on foot to meet Chief Minister Vijay. I will not return home until I meet him,” Aman told reporters.
