Group’s Commercial Capacity Rises to 10,842.86 MW After Commissioning of Vanki Wind Energy Project

Gujarat : NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commercial operation of an additional 6.3 MW wind power capacity at its Vanki Wind Energy Project in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat.

The newly commissioned capacity is part of the project being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The 6.3 MW capacity became commercially operational from 00:00 hours on September 13, 2026.

With the commissioning of this second part capacity, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group has increased from 10,836.56 MW to 10,842.86 MW.

The development further strengthens NGEL’s renewable energy portfolio, particularly its presence in the wind energy segment. Gujarat’s Kutch region has emerged as an important renewable energy hub because of its strong wind and solar potential.

Regulatory Disclosure

NTPC Green Energy Limited informed the stock exchanges about the development through a disclosure dated September 12, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.

The commissioning marks another addition to the company’s growing renewable energy portfolio as the NTPC Group continues to expand its clean-energy generation capacity across India.
