Trisha Krishnan, Radhika Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali to headline Raja Krishna Menon’s women-centric psychological horror thriller
Hyderabad : Actress Trisha Krishnan has announced her next Tamil film, an upcoming psychological horror thriller directed by filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon, known for films such as Airlift, Chef and Pippa.
The yet-to-be-titled project will also feature Radhika Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali in key roles. The film combines elements of mystery, horror and psychological suspense and is described as a dark psychological drama centred around women.
Production on the film has already begun in London.
Panorama Studios Announces Its First Tamil Film
Panorama Studios, in association with Locomotive Global, officially announced the project on Wednesday, September 2.
The production house shared a picture featuring Trisha holding a clapboard, announcing the beginning of production on its first Tamil-language film.
The makers described the project as the beginning of a new story in Tamil cinema and confirmed that production has officially commenced.
The film is being positioned as a distinctive genre project combining horror and psychological drama, with a strong focus on female characters.
Trisha, Radhika and Aparna Lead the Cast
The upcoming film brings together three accomplished actresses who have made their mark across Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi cinema.
Trisha Krishnan is known for her performances in films including 96, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Ghilli and Ponniyin Selvan.
Radhika Sarathkumar has appeared in several acclaimed Tamil films, including Kizhakku Cheemayile, Pasumpon, Thanga Magan and Theri.
Aparna Balamurali, meanwhile, has earned recognition for her performances in films such as Soorarai Pottru, Maheshinte Prathikaaram and 8 Thottakkal.
The combination of the three actresses is expected to be one of the major attractions of the project.
Kumar Mangat Pathak on the Project
Speaking about the film, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Founder and Chairman of Panorama Studios, said Tamil cinema has traditionally been known for bold, original and culturally rooted storytelling.
He said the production house wanted its first Tamil film to reflect the same spirit and described the project as a distinctive genre film set in an intriguing world.
Pathak also praised director Raja Krishna Menon’s approach to the story and expressed confidence that the film would offer audiences a new cinematic experience.
Raja Krishna Menon Explores Psychological Horror
Raja Krishna Menon, who has directed films including Airlift, Chef and Pippa, is venturing into the psychological horror genre for the first time with this project.
The director is expected to bring a different storytelling approach to the genre, combining psychological drama with horror and suspense.
Rajesh Menon and George Cameron are serving as co-producers, while Abhinav Mehrotra is the creative producer.
