Duliajan  — Oil India Limited (OIL), one of India’s leading public sector energy companies, has achieved a record-breaking daily production of 147,159 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) on March 26, 2026. This milestone marks the highest single-day output in the company’s history, highlighting its strong operational capabilities and strategic growth in the oil and gas sector.

Key Highlights of the Achievement

  • Crude Oil Production: The company recorded 80,060 barrels of crude oil in a single day, the highest level in the past decade.
  • Operational Expansion: OIL completed record drilling of 73 wells and carried out 300 workovers during the fiscal year 2025–26 (to date), representing its strongest year-on-year operational performance.
  • Efficiency Gains: The milestone reflects improved extraction techniques, better reservoir management, and enhanced operational efficiency.
