Raipur : The National Statistics Office (NSO), Regional Office, Raipur, under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, successfully organized a one-day Awareness and Self-Compilation Training Camp for the Annual Survey of Incorporated Service Sector Enterprises (ASISSE)-2026 at its office premises on Thursday.
The ASISSE-2026 survey, which will be conducted from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, aims to collect reliable and comprehensive data from incorporated service sector enterprises across the country. The primary objective of the training programme was to assist selected enterprises in self-compilation of survey schedules, improve the response rate, address operational challenges, and enhance overall awareness about the survey.
The programme was jointly inaugurated by Ms. Agrawal Sachita Rakesh, Deputy Director and Head of Office, NSO Regional Office, Raipur, and the Chief Guest, Mr. Satish Thorani, President of the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI), Raipur.
Addressing the inaugural session, Ms. Agrawal Sachita Rakesh emphasized the significance of reliable, timely, and official statistics in supporting evidence-based policymaking and sustainable economic development. She elaborated on the objectives of ASISSE-2026, highlighting the importance of self-compilation in improving data quality, reducing the reporting burden on respondents, and ensuring greater efficiency in data collection.
She also urged all selected incorporated service sector enterprises to submit accurate and timely information through the online ASISSE web portal, thereby contributing to the preparation of authentic national statistical data.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satish Thorani appreciated the initiative taken by the National Statistics Office and called upon service sector enterprises to actively cooperate with the Government by providing high-quality statistical information within the stipulated timelines. He stated that such participation would strengthen the country’s official statistical system and support informed policy decisions.
The training programme witnessed the participation of representatives from 35 incorporated service sector enterprises. Officials from the NSO Regional Offices at Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg also attended the event. Among them were Mr. Rishabh Singh Shyam, Assistant Director, Sub-Regional Office, Bilaspur, and Mr. Abhishek Shukla, Assistant Director, Durg, who actively participated in the programme.
During the technical session, NSO officials conducted a live demonstration of the ASISSE Web Portal, explaining the complete process of online schedule submission. The interactive session covered key aspects such as data entry procedures, financial information reporting, login protocols, and other technical requirements related to the survey. Participants were also given an opportunity to raise queries, which were addressed by the officials through detailed practical explanations.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. S. K. Behera, Senior Statistical Officer, NSO Regional Office, Raipur, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and officials for their valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the awareness and training camp.
The Annual Survey of Incorporated Service Sector Enterprises (ASISSE)-2026 is expected to play a crucial role in generating high-quality statistical data on India’s corporate service sector, thereby supporting policy formulation, economic planning, and evidence-based governance at both the national and state levels.
