NALCO Reports Record-Breaking Q1 FY27 Results as Net Profit Surges 88% to ₹2,002.38 Crore

Bhubaneswar : National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has delivered an exceptional start to Financial Year 2026–27, reporting a remarkable 88% year-on-year increase in net profit while setting multiple operational records during the first quarter.

The company’s Board of Directors, at its meeting held in New Delhi, approved the financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reflecting strong operational efficiency, favorable market conditions, and sustained business growth.

Net Profit Jumps 88%

According to the approved financial results, NALCO’s net profit soared to ₹2,002.38 crore, compared to ₹1,063.86 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The outstanding financial performance was driven by higher production, increased sales volumes, improved domestic alumina sales, and favorable international aluminium prices.

Revenue Grows by 39%

The company also reported significant growth in its operational revenue.

Revenue from operations increased by 39%, reaching ₹5,302.38 crore during the first quarter of FY27, compared to the same period last year.

The strong revenue growth highlights the company’s continued ability to capitalize on favorable market conditions while maintaining operational excellence across its mining, refining, and metal production businesses.

Board Recommends Final Dividend

In addition to approving the quarterly financial results, NALCO’s Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Re. 1 per equity share, representing 20% of the face value of ₹5 per share, for the Financial Year 2025–26.

The proposed dividend amounts to approximately ₹183.66 crore and will be subject to the approval of shareholders at the company’s 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Commenting on the company’s impressive first-quarter performance, Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), NALCO, credited the achievement to the strategic guidance of the Board of Directors and the dedication of the company’s employees, business partners, and stakeholders.

  • Highest-ever Q1 Alumina/Hydrate Sales: 3.47 lakh tonnes
