Outstanding Banks and Lead District Managers Honoured for Performance in FY 2025-26
Raipur, September 28, 2026: A state-level outreach programme on the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) in Raipur called for a wider, district-level campaign to increase awareness and enrolment under the pension scheme, particularly among eligible citizens in rural and remote areas.
Banks and Lead District Managers (LDMs) that delivered outstanding performance during the financial year 2025-26 were also recognised at the programme.
The event was jointly organised by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) and the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Chhattisgarh. Discussions focused on strengthening implementation of APY, improving public awareness and increasing enrolment across the state.
Focus on District-Wise Awareness Campaigns
Officials called upon banks and LDMs to conduct dedicated awareness drives at the district level and reach out to a larger number of eligible citizens.
Participants were encouraged to explain the scheme’s eligibility requirements, contribution structure and pension benefits at the grassroots level so that potential beneficiaries can make informed decisions about enrolment.
Banks and districts were also encouraged to adopt innovative approaches to expand the scheme’s reach and improve participation.
CSPs to Play Key Role in Rural Areas
The programme highlighted the important role of Customer Service Points (CSPs) in extending APY outreach to villages and remote locations.
Officials noted that CSP representatives can help potential beneficiaries understand the scheme and provide assistance during the enrolment process. Their presence at the local level can also help banks reach people who may have limited access to conventional bank branches.
The participating banks, LDMs and CSP representatives emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to increase APY coverage across Chhattisgarh.
Officials and Banking Representatives Attend
The programme was attended by Pravesh Kumar, Chief General Manager, PFRDA, along with Deepak Kumar Abhishek, Convenor and Deputy General Manager, SLBC Chhattisgarh.
State-level heads of member banks, Lead District Managers and representatives of CSPs also participated in the programme.
The discussions centred on strengthening coordination between banks and field-level representatives to ensure that information about APY reaches eligible citizens across different districts.
Manoj Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager, expressed gratitude to the guests and participants and called for continued collective efforts to ensure effective implementation and wider outreach of the scheme in Chhattisgarh.
