Mungeli, Chhattisgarh | In a commendable initiative aimed at shaping the future of children from police families, the Mungeli District Police organized an educational tour to Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur under its Police Family Welfare Program. The initiative sought to provide career guidance and inspire young minds to explore opportunities in aviation and defense services.
The program was conducted under the patronage of Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam (IPS), with guidance from Inspector General of Police, Bilaspur Range, Ramgopal Garg (IPS), and leadership from Senior Superintendent of Police, Mungeli, Bhojram Patel (IPS).
A total of 23 students participated in the tour, where they were given an in-depth understanding of airport operations, aviation safety protocols, and aircraft functioning. The visit was coordinated by Mungeli Police in collaboration with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Raipur.
The primary objective of the program was to introduce students to career opportunities in civil aviation and defense sectors, including the Indian Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, civil aviation services, and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
One of the key highlights of the visit was an interactive session with Indian Air Force officers, including Wing Commander Vivek Kumar Sahu. Students had the unique opportunity to engage directly with defense personnel and gain insights into the process of becoming a pilot or technical expert. The officers explained eligibility criteria, educational requirements, physical standards, and medical qualifications necessary for pursuing such careers.
During the tour, students also explored a training aircraft and observed cockpit instruments and control systems up close. This hands-on exposure proved to be both exciting and highly motivating, igniting aspirations among students to pursue careers in aviation and serve the nation.
Senior Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel emphasized that such initiatives are crucial in guiding young individuals toward meaningful and prestigious career paths. He added that similar programs will continue to be organized in the future to ensure that children of police personnel receive the support and opportunities they deserve.
The initiative not only provided valuable knowledge but also served as a source of inspiration, encouraging students to dream big and consider careers in aviation and national defense.
