New Delhi : RITES Limited has officially announced that Vinod Kumar has ceased to serve as Government Nominee Director on its Board, effective May 4, 2026. The development was disclosed to both the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE Limited in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Reason Behind the Exit

According to the official filing, Vinod Kumar stepped down following a significant change in his professional responsibilities. He relinquished his role as Executive Director (Mechanical Engineering – PU&W) at the Railway Board and has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence.
