Government Appoints Rohit Kumar Mishra as Chief Vigilance Officer of Bridge and Roof Company (India) Ltd


New Delhi, India — The Government of India has appointed Rohit Kumar Mishra as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited (BRCIL), Kolkata, according to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on April 10, 2026.

Mishra, a 2009-batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), has been appointed for an initial term of three years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment has been made under the administrative control of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.


Appointment Details

As per the official Office Memorandum, Mishra will hold the position at Pay Level 13 under the government pay matrix, with a salary range of ₹1,23,100 to ₹2,15,900.

He will be relieved from his current role in the Department of Defence Production to take up his new responsibilities at BRCIL’s headquarters in Kolkata.


Key Responsibilities

In his role as Chief Vigilance Officer, Mishra will be tasked with strengthening vigilance mechanisms within BRCIL. His responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring transparency and accountability in organizational operations
  • Promoting integrity and ethical practices
  • Implementing preventive vigilance measures
  • Advising the organization on governance and compliance frameworks

The position is critical to maintaining robust oversight and fostering a culture of accountability within the public sector enterprise.


Administrative Approval

The appointment has been finalized following consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission, in accordance with established procedures for senior vigilance appointments in government organizations.

The official order was issued from Kartavya Bhavan-3 in New Delhi and has been circulated to all relevant authorities for necessary action and compliance.
