Chhattisgarh High Court Designates 11 Lawyers as Senior Advocates


High Court of Chhattisgarh has designated 11 advocates as Senior Advocates in a significant development for the state’s legal fraternity. The official notification was issued by Registrar General Rajneesh Srivastava following approval by the Full Court.

The appointments have been made under Section 16 of the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Chhattisgarh High Court (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2025. The notification stated that the designations came into effect immediately after approval by the Full Court on April 28, 2026.

According to the High Court notification, the decision was also made in compliance with the judgment and directions issued by the Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No. 865/2025, Jitendra alias Kalla vs State (Delhi Government), delivered on May 13, 2025.
