Union Budget to Drive Holistic Development of Chhattisgarh and Bastar: Srinivas Rao Maddi

Bijapur (Chhattisgarh): Srinivas Rao Maddi, In-charge of the Bijapur Assembly constituency, has described the Union Budget as a powerful vision document that will accelerate the all-round development of Chhattisgarh, including the Bastar region, while strengthening India’s long-term growth trajectory.

Speaking on the key highlights of the budget, Maddi said it goes far beyond annual financial planning and serves as a roadmap toward achieving the goal of “Developed India–2047.” He emphasized that the budget addresses both present-day challenges and the country’s development priorities for the next 25 years.

“A Visionary Budget, Not Just Numbers”

According to Maddi, the budget will bring direct benefits to mineral-rich districts of the Bastar region, boosting industrial activity and creating new employment opportunities for local youth. He stressed that the budget should not be viewed merely as a financial statement, but as a comprehensive framework aimed at strengthening India’s social, economic, and infrastructure foundations.

“The budget has been designed around three core objectives—economic empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development. Together, these pillars will help make India self-reliant and globally competitive,” Maddi said.

Chhattisgarh to Gain From 16th Finance Commission Recommendations

Maddi welcomed the acceptance of the 16th Finance Commission’s recommendations, stating that they will ensure better distribution of financial resources between the Centre and the states over the next five years.

“This will provide Chhattisgarh with a stronger financial base to implement development schemes, especially in rural and tribal areas,” he noted.

Infrastructure, Energy, and Social Sectors to See Major Push

Expressing confidence in the budget’s impact, Maddi said Chhattisgarh is set to witness significant progress in power generation, energy security, road and rail connectivity, infrastructure strengthening, and urban development.

He added that enhanced allocations for education, healthcare, women empowerment, and skill development will help ensure that development benefits reach the most marginalized sections of society.

Strengthening Inclusive Growth

Maddi said the budget reinforces the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” (Together with all, development for all, trust of all, and effort by all).

“This inclusive development approach is especially important for regions like Bastar and Chhattisgarh, which hold immense untapped potential,” he said.

Concluding his remarks, Srinivas Rao Maddi described the Union Budget as a decisive step toward a brighter future for Chhattisgarh and Bastar, positioning the state firmly within India’s development mainstream and helping the nation reach new heights on the global stage.
