Bilaspur : South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) is strengthening administrative efficiency, transparency and ease of access to services through key digital initiatives under Special Campaign 6. The company’s Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and the centralized PPO/Life Certificate Portal are simplifying healthcare and pension-related facilities for employees, pensioners and their families.
These platforms, developed under the Ministry of Coal, support the campaign’s objectives of reducing paperwork, improving systematic record management and ensuring faster disposal of services.
Integrated Digital Health Management via HMIS
SECL’s Hospital Management Information System provides an integrated digital platform for managing healthcare services. Patient registration, medical consultations, treatment details and medicine-related information are recorded digitally, enabling organized maintenance of medical records and easier access to a patient’s treatment history.
The system also facilitates online processing of medical reimbursement claims. Integration with Amrit Pharmacy and medicine management features is helping streamline administrative processes and improve the overall delivery of health services.
Digital PPO and Life Certificate Services for Pensioners
For the convenience of retired employees and eligible spouses of deceased employees, SECL has developed a centralized PPO/Life Certificate Portal. Users can obtain and download Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) online. The portal also simplifies the digital submission of annual life certificates.
This arrangement significantly reduces dependence on physical documents and manual processes. A linked governance dashboard assists in monitoring PPO uploads and related compliance across SECL’s various areas, enabling better progress review and administrative coordination.
Focus on Record Management and Faster Service Delivery
The implementation phase of Special Campaign 6 is underway until October 31, 2026. The campaign emphasizes cleanliness, e-waste management, optimal utilization of available space, improved record management and the disposal of pending cases.
SECL’s digital initiatives align with these goals by promoting paperless operations, better record-keeping and easier availability of essential services. Through HMIS and the PPO/Life Certificate Portal, the company continues to work towards making critical facilities more accessible and convenient for its employees, pensioners and their families.
