Hyderabad: Superstar Prabhas marked his 47th birthday on October 23 with the release of the highly anticipated teaser for his upcoming historical drama Fauji, sending fans into a frenzy across social media platforms, particularly X.
The teaser presents Prabhas in a strikingly aggressive and serious new avatar as a fearless rebel soldier set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle. It opens in Berlin with a tense historical exchange between Adolf Hitler and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose discussing British atrocities in India. The narrative then shifts to introduce a lone revolutionary warrior who strikes terror into the heart of the British Empire. The teaser culminates with Prabhas delivering a powerful line: “Abe o firangi, main tera khoon loonga aur azaadi bhi cheen ke” (Hey foreigner, I will take your blood and snatch freedom as well).
Makers accompanied the release with the caption: “Presenting Declassified File Number 25, Fauji in cinemas on 19 March 2027.”
The intense action sequences and Prabhas’ sharp, formidable look have generated significant buzz. Fans on X flooded the platform with birthday wishes for the Rebel Star alongside enthusiastic praise for the teaser. Many described it as “terrifying” and “powerful,” noting that the dialogue and overall tone have heightened anticipation for the film. Viewers expressed particular excitement at seeing Prabhas in this historically rooted, high-intensity role, distinct from his previous larger-than-life characters.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauji is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films. The producers are Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar and Bhushan Kumar.
As one of India’s leading pan-India stars with a strong track record of blockbuster successes and a massive nationwide fan base, Prabhas continues to command significant attention with each new project.
