SECL Organizes ‘Yoga Chit Challenge’ to Promote Workplace Wellness Ahead of International Day of Yoga 2026


New Delhi, June 18, 2026: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organized an engaging “Yoga Chit Challenge” at its headquarters in Bilaspur on June 18, 2026, as part of the ongoing SECL Yoga Mahotsav 2026 celebrations leading up to the International Day of Yoga 2026. The initiative aimed to encourage employees to embrace yoga as a daily practice while promoting health awareness, workplace wellness, and holistic well-being.

The event was organized in alignment with this year’s International Day of Yoga theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” and witnessed enthusiastic participation from SECL officers and employees, with a particularly strong turnout from women employees.

Interactive Yoga Challenge Encourages Active Participation

The Yoga Chit Challenge featured a unique and interactive format designed to make yoga both enjoyable and educational. Participants randomly selected chits from a specially prepared Yoga Chit Box, with each chit containing a specific yoga posture (asana), pranayama technique, or yoga-related challenge.

Participants enthusiastically performed the assigned activities, demonstrating teamwork, confidence, and a shared commitment to adopting healthier lifestyles through regular yoga practice.

Expert Guidance by Art of Living Yoga Instructor

The session was conducted by Mr. Pritpal Singh Gumber, a certified Yoga Instructor from The Art of Living, who guided participants through various yoga postures and breathing exercises.

During the programme, he emphasized the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of practicing yoga on a regular basis. He encouraged employees to integrate yoga into their everyday routines to achieve a balanced lifestyle, reduce stress, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being.
