Railway Board Issues Three Orders Covering Civil, Safety and Operations Leadership at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation
New Delhi : The Railway Board has issued three important orders concerning senior appointments and deputation in the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), strengthening the organization’s leadership across civil engineering, safety, and operations.
The orders involve the appointment of Shri Om Prakash as General Manager (Civil), Shri Vinod Kumar Gautam as General Manager (Safety) on an immediate absorption basis, and an extension of the deputation tenure of Shri Roshan Singh, who is serving as General Manager (Operations & Business Development).
Om Prakash Appointed GM (Civil)
Shri Om Prakash (IRSE) has been deputed to DFCCIL as General Manager (Civil) at the Corporate Office.
Before his deputation, Om Prakash was serving as Chief Engineer (TMC) on Eastern Railway.
His deputation will be for a period of three years with effect from June 8, 2026 (AN). During the deputation period, he will continue to draw his regular Railway pay along with the applicable deputation allowance.
His experience in railway civil engineering is expected to support DFCCIL’s ongoing infrastructure and construction activities.
Vinod Kumar Gautam Appointed GM (Safety)
Shri Vinod Kumar Gautam (IRSME) has been appointed as General Manager (Safety) in DFCCIL on an immediate absorption basis.
He was previously serving as Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) in COFMOW.
The Railway Board has accepted Gautam’s technical resignation from Railway service in connection with his appointment to DFCCIL.
He has been directed to join DFCCIL within 15 days of the order.
His appointment comes at an important time as DFCCIL continues to expand and operate dedicated freight infrastructure, where railway safety and operational reliability remain critical priorities.
Roshan Singh’s Deputation Extended Until 2028
The Railway Board has also approved an extension of the deputation of Shri Roshan Singh (IRTS) in DFCCIL.
Singh is currently serving as General Manager (Operations & Business Development) at the DFCCIL Corporate Office.
His deputation has been extended for the fourth and fifth years, taking his tenure up to November 19, 2028.
Before joining DFCCIL, he was serving as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) on Northeast Frontier Railway.
His continued presence is expected to support DFCCIL’s operations and business-development activities as the dedicated freight corridor network moves into an increasingly important phase of commercial operations.
Strengthening DFCCIL’s Senior Management
The three orders collectively strengthen DFCCIL’s senior management structure across three critical areas—civil infrastructure, safety, and operations & business development.
The appointments and deputation extension are expected to support the organization’s efforts toward efficient project execution, enhanced safety standards, and smoother freight-corridor operations.
As India’s dedicated freight corridor network expands its role in transforming freight transportation, experienced Railway officers in key leadership positions are likely to remain important for maintaining operational efficiency and accelerating infrastructure development.
