Katghora, Chhattisgarh |: The Katghora Bar Association has officially denied issuing any complaint against Murli Hotel, rejecting claims made in a news report published on July 25, 2026, titled “Campaign Launched to Shut Down Murli Hotel.” The Association clarified that the complaint letter featured in the report was not authorized by the organization and should not be considered an official document.
According to an official press release, the Association became aware that a local newspaper had published a report stating that a complaint had been submitted to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Katghora, using the Bar Association’s letterhead, official seal, and signatures. Treating the matter with utmost seriousness, the Association immediately convened an emergency executive committee meeting to review the issue.
During the meeting, members of the Executive Committee thoroughly examined the circumstances surrounding the alleged complaint. After detailed discussions, the committee concluded that no proposal regarding any complaint against Murli Hotel had ever been passed by the executive body, nor had it been approved by the General Body of the Association.
The Katghora Bar Association emphasized that every official complaint, resolution, or representation made on behalf of the organization must receive proper approval from the Executive Committee or the General Body before being issued. The Association stated that no such procedure was followed in this case.
As a result, the Association categorically declared that the complaint letter published in the media does not represent the official position of the organization and should not be treated as an authentic document issued by the Katghora Bar Association.
The clarification was issued by Yadunandan Prasad Jaiswal, Secretary of the Katghora Bar Association, through an official press statement. He urged the public, authorities, and all concerned stakeholders to rely only on the Association’s official communications regarding the matter and disregard any unauthorized documents circulated in its name.
The Association reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency, institutional integrity, and proper legal procedures, while ensuring that any official action taken in the organization’s name strictly follows its established rules and approval process.
