Pune, India : The father of Siya Goyal, the woman accused of murdering her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, has made an emotional statement, saying his daughter should face the harshest possible punishment if she is found guilty by a court of law.
Speaking from a hospital in Pune, businessman Praveen Goyal said that if the allegations against his daughter are proven beyond doubt, she should receive the same fate that he believes befell Ketan. Referring to Lohagad Fort, where the incident allegedly took place, he stated that she should be taken to the same location and punished in similar circumstances.
Siya Goyal’s mother also expressed strong emotions over the case, saying that if her daughter is convicted after a fair trial, she should receive the death penalty in accordance with the law.
The case has attracted widespread public attention after investigators alleged that Siya Goyal was involved in the death of her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, at Lohagad Fort. Authorities are continuing their investigation, collecting evidence, and recording witness statements to determine the full sequence of events.
At present, the allegations remain under investigation, and Siya Goyal has not been convicted. Under the Indian legal system, every accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The emotional remarks made by the victim’s prospective in-laws highlight the profound grief and shock surrounding the case, while legal experts emphasize that any punishment can only be determined through the judicial process after all evidence has been examined and a verdict has been delivered.
