Kolkata : Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) – Power Sector Eastern Region (PSER) has invited sealed bids for structural works at Unit-5 of the 1×660 MW Sagardighi Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in West Bengal.
The tender covers bunker enclosure work, truss fabrication and erection, as well as roof sheeting at the project site.

Scope of Work
The major works covered under the tender include:
1. Bunker Enclosure
Contractors will be required to provide additional structural members to prevent coal spillage. The estimated structural steel quantity for this work is 3.14 MT.
2. TP-20A Truss Work
The scope includes fabrication, erection, alignment and welding of the TP-20A truss, with an estimated quantity of 3 MT.
3. Roof Sheeting
The tender also includes roof sheeting work covering approximately 25.6 square metres at TP-20A.
Key Contract Conditions
BHEL will provide the required structural steel free of cost.
The successful contractor will be responsible for arranging:
- Tools and tackles (T&P)
- Consumables
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Required manpower and other resources for execution
The contractor must mobilize within three days of receiving the work order, while the overall work is required to be completed within two months from the start of work.
Bid Submission Process
Interested bidders must submit their Techno-commercial Bid and Price Bid in separate sealed covers before the stipulated deadline.
The last date for submission is August 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the bids will be opened on August 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
There is no Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) requirement, and the tender is available free of cost.
