Muzaffarpur, Bihar: State-run NTPC Limited has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and local users for the lifting of dry fly ash from its Kanti Thermal Power Plant in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
The initiative is aimed at supporting enterprises involved in the manufacturing of ash-based products by providing fly ash at concessional rates on an “as is, where is” basis.
Fly Ash to Be Supplied for One Year
According to the EoI, NTPC Kanti Thermal Power Plant will supply dry fly ash to interested MSEs and local users for a period of one year.
The successful ash users will be responsible for the lifting and transportation of fly ash from the power plant.
The expression of interest will remain valid for a minimum period of 120 days from the date of opening of the expression.
NTPC Kanti Has 390 MW Installed Capacity
Located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, NTPC Kanti Thermal Power Plant has a total installed capacity of 390 MW and is engaged in the generation and sale of bulk electricity.
Through the EoI, NTPC is seeking participation from businesses that can utilize fly ash for manufacturing ash-based products, supporting its broader efforts toward productive utilization of fly ash.
Security Deposit Requirement
Successful applicants will be required to submit a Contract Performance Guarantee (CPG) / Security Deposit (SD) within 15 days of the issuance of the award letter for allocation.
The amount will be equivalent to 10% of the value of the allocated quantity, subject to a minimum of ₹10,000.
The security can be submitted through e-payment on NTPC’s Customer Payment Portal or through an unconditional and irrevocable bank guarantee.
If submitted through a bank guarantee, the CPG/SD must remain valid for 90 days beyond the contract period.
Bid Submission Deadline
Interested MSEs and local ash users must submit their EoI within the stipulated period.
Last date for submission: August 28, 2026.
The initiative provides an opportunity for eligible local enterprises and small businesses to obtain fly ash at concessional rates for ash-based manufacturing activities, while also promoting the productive utilization of fly ash generated from thermal power operations.
