Korea, Chhattisgarh |: Korea District Collector Roktima Yadav took a strict stance against delays in the disposal of time-bound government cases during the weekly review meeting held at the Collectorate Conference Hall on Tuesday. Reviewing pending applications and priority government schemes, the Collector questioned officials over unnecessary delays and directed them to ensure prompt resolution of all public grievances within the prescribed timelines.
Addressing district-level officers, Collector Roktima Yadav emphasized that applications related to public welfare should not remain pending without valid reasons. She sought explanations from officials responsible for delayed cases and warned that timely disposal of citizen-related matters must be treated as a top administrative priority.
Collector Orders Faster AgriStack Registration Drive
Reviewing the progress of AgriStack Registration, the Collector instructed officials from the Agriculture, Revenue, and Food Departments to intensify field-level efforts by visiting villages and reaching out directly to farmers.
She directed officials to ensure that all eligible farmers are registered without delay and that any technical or administrative issues faced during the registration process are resolved immediately so that beneficiaries are not deprived of government schemes.
Slow Progress in PM-Kisan Scheme Draws Criticism
The Collector also reviewed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme and expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of progress.
She instructed officials from the Agriculture and Revenue Departments to expedite the disposal of pending applications and ensure that all eligible farmers receive the benefits of the flagship income support scheme without unnecessary delays.
Continuous Monitoring of Rainfall and Reservoir Water Levels
Considering the continuous rainfall in the district, the Collector reviewed the water levels of dams and reservoirs and directed concerned departments to maintain constant surveillance over waterlogging-prone areas.
Officials were instructed to remain fully prepared for any emergency situation arising due to heavy rains and to take preventive measures to safeguard public safety.
Collector Rebukes Officials Over Delay in Pension Payments
Taking serious note of delays in pension disbursement, the Collector reprimanded the officials of the Social Welfare Department and instructed them to clear all pending pension cases immediately.
She emphasized that beneficiaries, particularly senior citizens and vulnerable groups, must receive their pension payments on time without administrative hurdles.
Special Camps to Be Organised for APAAR ID and Aadhaar Services
The meeting also reviewed pending work related to APAAR IDs, Aadhaar enrolment, and Birth Certificates for students.
The Collector directed the concerned departments to organize special camps, wherever necessary, to complete all pending documentation and ensure that students receive their APAAR IDs and Aadhaar-linked services without delay.
Time-Bound Disposal of Jan Darshan Applications
Reviewing applications received under the Jan Darshan public grievance redressal programme, the Collector instructed all departments to ensure time-bound resolution of complaints and public demands.
She further directed officials to inform applicants about the action taken on their representations, reinforcing the importance of transparency and accountability in public service delivery.
Senior Officials Attend Review Meeting
The review meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Yogendra Shrivas, Additional Collector Surendra Prasad Vaidya, along with district-level officers from various government departments.
The administration reiterated its commitment to improving governance, strengthening public service delivery, and ensuring that all government welfare schemes and citizen-centric services are implemented efficiently and within stipulated timelines.
