‘Colours of Service’ Bring the Vision of Viksit Bharat to the People: Deputy CM Arun Sao

Eight Schools Participate in ‘Seva Ka Rang’ Rangoli Programme at Lormi; Girls Highlight Water Conservation, Cleanliness, Digital India and Women’s Empowerment

Lormi: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao visited the block-level ‘Seva Ka Rang’ Rangoli programme organised at Manas Manch in Lormi under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The event showcased the creativity of schoolgirls and local artists, who used traditional rangoli art to communicate messages related to service, cleanliness, development, water conservation and women’s empowerment.

During his visit, Deputy Chief Minister Sao went around the exhibition and appreciated the rangolis prepared by the participating artists and students. He also interacted with the schoolgirls and sought details about the themes, concepts and social messages represented through their artwork.

The students explained that their rangolis were based on several important themes, including water conservation, Viksit Bharat, women’s empowerment, Digital India and Swachh Bharat. They used colours and creative designs to present these subjects in a simple and visually appealing manner.

Sao appreciated the enthusiasm and creativity of the students and encouraged them to continue using their talent to spread awareness about important social and national issues.

Grand Rangoli Depicts ‘Viksit Lormi, Viksit Bharat’

One of the major attractions of the programme was a large and elaborate rangoli depicting the concept of ‘Viksit Lormi, Viksit Bharat’.

Rangoli artist Ravi Paikra from Kota created the grand artwork using nearly two quintals of material. The large-scale rangoli presented the idea of a developed Lormi contributing to the broader vision of a developed India.

The artwork became a prominent feature of the programme and conveyed the message of development and collective participation through an artistic medium.

Girls from Eight Schools Showcase Their Talent

The programme also provided a platform for girls from eight schools to demonstrate their artistic skills and creativity.

The participating students prepared separate rangolis around different themes. Their artwork reflected messages related to water conservation, Digital India, Swachh Bharat, women’s empowerment and the broader vision of Viksit Bharat.

Through their designs, the students highlighted how social awareness and public participation can be communicated through traditional forms of art.

The initiative also gave young students an opportunity to connect their creativity with issues that directly affect society and the country’s development.

‘Seva Ka Rang’ Highlights Different Dimensions of Public Service

The ‘Seva Ka Rang’ programme was organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, with the objective of taking the message of service and the vision of a developed India to people at the grassroots level.

The rangolis presented different dimensions of public service. Themes such as cleanliness and water conservation highlighted environmental responsibility, while Digital India represented technology-driven development. The focus on women’s empowerment underlined the importance of women’s participation in the development process.

The programme combined cultural expression with social messaging, allowing students and artists to communicate development-related ideas in an accessible manner.

Deputy CM Arun Sao Emphasises People’s Participation

Speaking during the programme, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that the spirit of service and the vision of a developed India had been beautifully expressed through rangoli art.

He said the objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to take the concept of Viksit Bharat to every section of society and encourage people to understand what a developed India means and what role they can play in achieving that vision.

According to Sao, public participation is essential for translating the idea of a developed India into reality. He emphasised the need for people to connect with the development process and contribute according to their respective roles and responsibilities.

He further said that conveying Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of service and public welfare to the people is also an important objective of the campaign.

Art Used as a Medium to Spread Social Messages

The Lormi programme demonstrated how traditional art can be used as an effective medium for public awareness.

From the large ‘Viksit Lormi, Viksit Bharat’ rangoli created by artist Ravi Paikra to the theme-based artwork prepared by students from eight schools, the programme brought together creativity and messages of social responsibility.

The initiative also encouraged young girls to express their understanding of development and public welfare through art, giving them a platform to showcase their talent while communicating meaningful messages to the community.

The ‘Seva Ka Rang’ programme thus presented a combination of service, creativity, cleanliness, environmental awareness, digital development and women’s empowerment, with the broader message of building a developed India through collective participation.
