Initiative aims to strengthen emergency healthcare services and improve access to quality medical care in Telangana’s Kothagudem district
New Delhi: Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad, a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), has handed over medical equipment worth Rs. 67.41 lakh to the Government General Hospital (GGH), Kothagudem, Telangana, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare services and improving access to quality medical care for people in the district.
The medical equipment was formally handed over in the presence of Shri Ankit, IAS, District Collector and Magistrate, Kothagudem; Shri Kannen V A S, Director (Personnel), ECIL; and Dr. Radha Mohan, Medical Superintendent, Government General Hospital, Kothagudem.
ECIL Highlights Role of CSR in Healthcare
Shri Kannen V A S, Director (Personnel), ECIL, said the provision of medical equipment under the CSR initiative would help patients receive timely emergency medical services and contribute to strengthening the functioning of government hospitals.
He reiterated ECIL’s commitment to supporting the harmonious and sustainable development of communities through its CSR initiatives. He said the organisation would continue to undertake projects aimed at creating a lasting social impact, improving the quality of life and contributing to the welfare of society.
District Collector Appreciates ECIL’s Support
Shri Ankit, IAS, District Collector and Magistrate, Kothagudem, expressed gratitude to ECIL for extending support to the district through the provision of medical equipment to the Government General Hospital.
He appreciated ECIL’s continued focus on public welfare and requested the organisation to undertake more CSR initiatives aimed at the holistic development of the district and the welfare of its residents.
