Tripartite MoU signed at Gastech 2026 to advance MEMS-based gas detection solutions under the Make in India framework
Bangkok : Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has entered into a strategic tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bulk MRO (India) and Japan-based New Cosmos Electric to advance gas safety technology using MEMS-based gas detection systems.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, bringing together the three companies to explore the development and advancement of sensor-based gas detection solutions for domestic and commercial applications.
The MoU was executed by Mohit Bhatia, DC, IGL; Devang Shah, CEO of Bulk MRO; and Yoshinori Nishiue, Senior Managing Director of New Cosmos Electric. IGL Chairman Subhankar Sen was also present at the signing ceremony.
Focus on Make in India
The collaboration will operate under the Make in India framework, with a focus on advancing gas detection technology and strengthening safety solutions for the Indian market.
IGL brings its experience and presence in the gas sector, while Bulk MRO is participating in the partnership alongside New Cosmos Electric, which contributes its expertise in gas detection technologies.
According to the companies, the initiative is intended to support the adoption of advanced sensor-based solutions for gas safety across domestic and commercial applications.
The partnership reflects an effort to combine industry expertise and gas detection technology to develop solutions suited to evolving safety requirements in the gas sector.
