New Delhi : Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has issued an Addendum to the Notice of its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) to include the proposed appointment of Dr. Archna Thakur as a Non-Official Independent Director on the company’s Board.
The appointment will be placed before shareholders for consideration at ONGC’s 33rd AGM, scheduled to be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM IST through Video Conferencing and other audio-visual means.

Dr. Archna Thakur was appointed as an Additional Director in the category of Non-Official Independent Director with effect from August 13, 2026.
Her tenure will continue up to August 11, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to the approval of ONGC’s shareholders.
The appointment follows a communication from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas dated August 12, 2026.
Since ONGC had issued the original AGM Notice on August 7, 2026, the company has now issued an Addendum to incorporate the proposed appointment as Item No. 11 on the AGM agenda.

The Addendum has been issued to formally incorporate Dr. Thakur’s appointment into the agenda of the 33rd AGM.
ONGC said that all other terms and conditions contained in the original AGM Notice remain unchanged.
The company will circulate the Addendum to eligible members through email and publish it in newspapers in accordance with applicable requirements.
